The Air curtain is a device which is placed at a doorway of the confined or restricted place which serves the purpose of releasing a strong flow of air and it covers the whole entrance area. The Air curtains are the transparent barriers which also prevent the arrival of harmful insects and dirt particles inside the workplace. But, the main function of the Air curtains is the climatic control for the industrial applications. It does not allow the air from the outside environment to enter inside the room and vice versa. The Air curtains maintain a negligible difference between the pressure in the inner atmosphere and the pressure in the outer atmosphere.
These Air curtains are highly preferred because it saves the lots of energy and hence can save as much as 40- 50% of the fuel consumption. Under normal circumstances, the Air curtains are placed in the horizontal direction on the top side of an oven and the direction of stream is placed towards the open face of an oven. The benefit of installation in such a method is that the hot air does not go unutilized and can be used while cooking the food.
